Diamond ring prices from VYKA are shown in Qatari riyals when you browse from Qatar. Every ring ships insured to any Qatari address with customs duty included, so there is nothing to pay when the parcel arrives. Qatar does not levy VAT (as of September 2026), so no tax is added either. A 1-carat lab-grown ring starts around QAR 3,970; a ring with a certified 1-carat natural diamond starts around QAR 9,410. This page explains what sets those figures, the typical QAR range at each carat weight, and what is and is not included.
| Centre stone | Lab-grown | Natural |
|---|---|---|
| 1 carat | from QAR 3,970 | from QAR 9,410 |
| 2 carat | from QAR 5,880 | from QAR 34,810 |

How much does a diamond ring cost in Qatar?
The short answer: our least expensive diamond ring, a band set with small diamonds, starts at about QAR 2,780. With a 1-carat centre stone it starts at QAR 3,970 lab-grown or QAR 9,410 natural; at 2 carats, at QAR 5,880 lab-grown or QAR 34,810 natural. The biggest lever on the number is not the carat weight — it is whether the centre stone is lab-grown or natural.
That is a wider spread than most price guides admit to, and it is accurate. A diamond is not a commodity with one price per gram, the way gold at the Souq Waqif gold market is. Two stones of identical weight can differ threefold in price, and “how much for one carat” is a question that cannot be answered honestly without three more.
Typical Qatari riyal ranges by carat weight
These ranges come from our live listings on 14 September 2026, in QAR, with nothing to add on arrival. The first figure is the lowest current listing; the second is the upper end of the usual range, not a ceiling — higher grades and heavier settings cost more. Lab-grown stones are typically IGI-certified and natural stones typically GIA-certified, and every stone comes with its report number.
| Centre stone | Lab-grown (QAR) | Natural (QAR) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.00 ct | 3,970 – 4,960 | 9,410 – 15,860 |
| 1.50 ct | 4,270 – 6,120 | 17,320 – 33,660 |
| 2.00 ct | 5,880 – 7,360 | 34,810 – 64,800 |
| 2.50 ct | 6,980 – 10,380 | 44,490 – 75,220 |
| 3.00 ct | 8,610 – 12,410 | 58,130 – 86,480 |
Within each carat weight, the range comes mainly from the design of the setting and its metal weight. Both columns include insured delivery into Qatar and the customs duty, which we pay.
What determines a diamond ring price
Four things, and they do not carry equal weight.
Cut matters most and is the one buyers under-weight. Cut is the only one of the four that is human workmanship rather than geology — it governs how the stone returns light. An excellent-cut stone one colour grade lower will out-sparkle a poorly cut stone a grade higher, often for a similar price. When something has to give to stay inside a budget, it should not be cut.
Colour runs D to Z. In a yellow-gold setting, a G or H stone looks white once set and is very hard to tell from a D, while costing meaningfully less. In platinum or white gold the difference is easier to see, so the higher grade earns its premium there.
Clarity describes internal marks. Above VS2 most inclusions are invisible without magnification, so paying for VVS1 buys a certificate line, not a visible difference. This is the easiest place to save money without anyone noticing.
Carat is weight, not size, and prices step up at the round weights. A 0.90 ct stone can cost noticeably less than a 1.00 ct stone of the same quality while measuring barely half a millimetre narrower across the top. Buying just under a round weight is the oldest honest saving in the trade.
How VYKA keeps costs off the price
Two structural reasons, neither of them a discount gimmick.
First, no shop floor. A jeweller with a lease in a Doha mall or a counter at Souq Waqif carries rent, fit-out and staff on every stone that leaves the case. We hold no retail space, so that cost is not built into the price.
Second, stones are not bought in advance to sit in a case. Much of our certified stone inventory is listed from trading partners and sourced when a ring is ordered. A traditional retailer finances stock that may wait months for a buyer, and the cost of that money is inside the ticket price.
Duty is handled the same way for every order: we pay the customs duty before dispatch, and the parcel is cleared through customs before delivery, so no clearance fee is added at the door. Most orders travel with FedEx, which carries and clears the parcel as our agent; selected high-value consignments move with Brinks or an equivalent secure service. None of this makes the diamond lesser — the grading report is the same document wherever the stone is sold. Compare the report number against any Doha quote and judge the delivered total.
What is included in the price
Every figure on this page includes the diamonds, the grading report for the centre stone, the setting in the metal shown, insured delivery to a Qatari address, and the customs duty, which we pay before dispatch. Qatar has no VAT to add (as of September 2026). No payment is asked for when the courier arrives, and no handling charge is added at the end.
On eligible ring styles, we cover the standard local market rate for one resize at a jeweller in Qatar within 30 days of delivery; pavé, eternity and other diamond-set bands cannot be resized. Resizing after that 30-day window may carry a charge; ask about engraving before ordering. A resized or engraved ring counts as a custom order, which the 21-day guarantee does not cover.
Lab-grown versus natural — the price difference in QAR
At one carat the natural starting price is already more than three times the lab-grown one. At two carats the choice between them becomes the whole decision.
A 1-carat lab-grown ring typically costs around QAR 3,970–4,960. A ring with a natural stone of comparable weight costs around QAR 9,410–15,860. At two carats, lab-grown runs roughly QAR 5,880–7,360 while natural runs QAR 34,810–64,800. The materials are chemically identical; the extra paid for a natural stone buys geological scarcity.
Neither choice is the clever one. Buyers who want the largest visible stone a budget allows choose lab-grown. Buyers who care that the stone came out of the ground choose natural. We label every stone plainly, price both openly on the same page, and never present one as the other.
Price match policy
If an identical diamond — the same certificate number on the same GIA, IGI or HRD report, not a similar stone — is advertised for a lower total by an eligible seller, send it to us before you buy. We may match it after verification, under our price match policy. A certificate number belongs to one stone, which makes it the only fair way to compare two prices.
Where diamond buying happens in Qatar
Traditionally it happens in person. The gold market at Souq Waqif remains a traditional starting point for Qatari families, and the jewellery halls at Villaggio and Place Vendôme carry the international houses. Both work on the same model: you look at what is in the case that day, and you pay for the case as well as the stone.
What has changed is that the grading report travels better than the counter does. A GIA or IGI report is a public record that can be looked up by its number, and many stones also carry that number laser-inscribed on the girdle. Once the report can be read, the advantage of standing in front of a case narrows to the pleasure of the visit — which is real, but it is not information.
Our answer is not to pretend a screen equals a viewing. It is to share the same document a showroom would show — the grading report — with a jeweller on WhatsApp who will go through it line by line before an order is placed.
Choosing a setting that suits the stone
The setting decides how large the diamond looks and how well it survives daily wear. Four styles cover most engagement rings.
A solitaire puts everything on the stone. It shows any weakness in the cut most clearly, because nothing sits beside the diamond to distract from it, and it is the most timeless. A halo surrounds the centre stone with small diamonds and makes it look noticeably larger, which is why many buyers choose it for visible size. A three-stone setting flanks the centre with two smaller diamonds, carrying more meaning and more metal. A pavé band sets small stones along the shoulders, spreading light across the finger rather than concentrating it at one point.
On metal, yellow gold is a long-standing favourite across the Gulf, and it hides small colour differences: a G or H colour stone looks white in yellow gold. White gold and platinum show the stone’s true colour more clearly — worth knowing before paying for a D colour and setting it in yellow, where the difference will not show. To design the piece from the stone outwards, the custom design service starts from a sketch or a photograph.
Sizing a ring you cannot try on
This is the part that worries people ordering remotely, and it is the easiest to solve. Across Qatar and the Gulf, ring size is simply the inside circumference of the band in millimetres — a size 54 ring measures 54 mm around. That is the same number a Doha jeweller would quote, so anyone who has been sized locally already knows it.
Otherwise, measure a ring already worn on that finger, or wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger and measure where it overlaps. Our ring size chart and converter turns any of those numbers into every other country’s system. Two rules matter more than precision: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and make sure the ring clears the knuckle. A ring that will not pass the knuckle cannot be worn at all, while a slightly loose one can usually be sized down, except pavé, eternity and other diamond-set bands.
When a ring is a surprise and cannot be measured at all, say so in the first message. There are ways to work it out, and it is a common question.
How buying works when there is no shop
Send us the budget range, or the stone you have in mind, on WhatsApp. We reply with certified options inside it, each with its grading report number (GIA, IGI or HRD), priced all-in to a Qatari address. You compare the reports, not our adjectives.
When you choose, the stone is secured and the ring is made. On a WhatsApp order, the stone, its report and the ring details are confirmed with you before production begins. The ring travels insured, cleared through customs, and arrives with its certificate, so nothing is owed at the door.
Most rings are made to order around the stone you chose, and a custom order cannot be returned — which is why it pays to confirm every detail before ordering. Items that qualify under our 21-day guarantee (unworn, not engraved, resized or otherwise customised, and within the policy’s claim limit) can be returned within 21 days of delivery, with return shipping at the buyer’s cost and our diamond inspection terms applying. A ring bought for a proposal in Doha, Al Rayyan or Lusail should arrive as the ring you already agreed. If you are still deciding between lab-grown and natural, our lab-grown versus natural guide compares the two.
Paying for a ring from Qatar
Checkout accepts Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and UnionPay, processed by Network International, and full payment is taken at checkout. The checkout charges in UAE dirhams, the currency of our UAE company. The riyal prices on this page are a display conversion; because the dirham and the riyal are both pegged to the US dollar, the conversion does not drift, but some banks add a foreign-currency fee, so it is worth checking with the card issuer before a large purchase.
Many buyers choose the stone with a jeweller on WhatsApp before ordering, and deal with one person from first message to delivery.
Whichever route you take, the grading certificate comes with the piece, and the ring is insured while it is in transit to Qatar.
What 3, 4 and 5 carat diamond rings cost in Qatar
Above two carats the price is set stone by stone, so the table below comes from our live listings on 22 September 2026: GIA-graded natural diamonds only, D–H colour and VS2 clarity or better, in Qatari riyals with customs paid and no VAT to add in Qatar. The first figure is the lowest listing in each band; the second is the median, a better guide to what most buyers actually choose. Add the setting: a plain 18K solitaire setting starts at about QAR 1,250; pavé and halo settings cost more.
| Carat weight | From (QAR) | Typical (QAR) | GIA listings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.00–2.49 ct | 32,290 | 37,260 | 9 |
| 2.50–2.99 ct | 57,460 | 74,180 | 15 |
| 3.00–3.99 ct | 76,180 | 106,800 | 13 |
| 4.00–4.99 ct | 191,810 | 227,820 | 17 |
| 5.00–5.99 ct | 272,510 | 343,500 | 16 |
Why the step between three and four carats is so steep: rarity compounds with weight. A four-carat stone is far rarer than two stones of two carats, and it is priced at a multiple of them, not the sum. Round brilliants sit at the top of every band; emerald and oval cuts of the same weight usually list lower.
What to insist on above two carats: a GIA report with the number inscribed on the girdle, checked on GIA Report Check before you pay; Excellent cut for a round; no strong fluorescence; and a look at the stone on video or in person. We source to your brief (shape, weight, colour, clarity, budget) and send a shortlist with the reports within 48 hours. Large stones can be viewed by video or, in the UAE, by appointment.

Frequently asked questions
Is there VAT on a diamond ring in Qatar?
No. As of September 2026, Qatar does not levy VAT, so no consumption tax is added to a diamond ring delivered in Qatar. VYKA also pays the customs duty before dispatch, so the price shown is the price paid.
Do I pay customs or duty when the ring arrives in Doha?
No. Every order ships Delivered Duty Paid: VYKA pays the customs duty before dispatch, and the parcel is cleared through customs before it reaches you. Nothing is collected at the door. If a courier ever asks for money, that is our error to fix, not a bill to pay.
How much does a 1 carat diamond ring cost in Qatar?
A 1-carat lab-grown centre stone in a simple setting starts around QAR 3,970 and typically runs to about QAR 4,960 depending on the setting and the metal. The same carat weight with a certified natural centre stone typically runs from about QAR 9,410 to QAR 15,860, and here too the difference comes mainly from the setting.
Why is the range at one carat weight so wide?
Carat is only the weight. Across the market, two 1-carat stones can differ by three times in price because of cut, colour and clarity. In our listings, the spread at one weight comes mainly from the setting: a plain solitaire costs far less than a pavé halo with the same centre stone. That is why this page shows a range rather than one flattering number.
Are the prices on the site shown in Qatari riyals?
Yes. Browsing from Qatar, prices display in QAR, converted from our UAE dirham prices; checkout is charged in dirhams. The riyal has been pegged to the US dollar at 3.64 since 2001, and the dirham is pegged too, so the figures do not swing with currency markets.
How long does delivery to Qatar take?
Rings are made to order and arrive within 2–3 weeks of order confirmation, by insured courier to Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah or Lusail. Delivery is free; if a date matters, message us before ordering.
Can I check the actual stone before ordering?
Loose diamonds on our site are listed with their grading report details. For a ring, a jeweller on WhatsApp can share the grading report number (GIA, IGI or HRD) of a specific stone before an order is placed, so it can be checked on the lab’s own website, with close-up photos or video where available.
Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically and optically the same material as a natural one and is graded on the same scale, usually by IGI. The difference is origin, not substance. That is why it costs a fraction of the natural price at the same carat weight, and why we label every stone plainly rather than blurring the two.
How much is a 2 carat diamond ring in Qatar?
A 2-carat lab-grown diamond ring starts at about QAR 5,880 and typically runs to QAR 7,360. A 2-carat natural diamond ring starts at about QAR 34,810 and typically runs to QAR 64,800. VYKA pays the customs duty and delivery to Qatar is free.
How much is a 1 gram diamond ring in Qatar?
Diamonds are weighed in carats, not grams: one carat is 0.2 grams, so a single 1-gram diamond would be a rare 5-carat stone. For a ring with a centre stone of around 1 carat, prices start at QAR 3,970 lab-grown or QAR 9,410 natural — see the table above.
How much does a diamond engagement ring cost in Qatar?
With a 1-carat centre stone, a certified diamond engagement ring starts at QAR 3,970 lab-grown or QAR 9,410 natural, and smaller centre stones cost less. Styles and settings are on our engagement rings in Qatar page.

How much is a 3 carat diamond ring in Qatar?
On 22 September 2026, GIA-graded natural stones of 3.00 to 3.99 carats in D–H colour and VS2 clarity or better listed from about QAR 76,180, with a median near QAR 106,800, with customs paid and no VAT to add in Qatar. Add a setting from about QAR 1,250. Round brilliants sit at the top of the range; emerald and oval cuts usually list lower.
How much is a 5 carat diamond ring in Qatar?
On 22 September 2026, GIA-graded natural stones of 5.00 to 5.99 carats in D–H colour and VS2 or better listed from about QAR 272,510, with a median near QAR 343,500, with customs paid and no VAT to add in Qatar. At this weight every stone is priced individually; we source to a brief and send GIA reports before you commit.
