Type or scan the report number once and we open the laboratory's own record, GIA Report Check or IGI Verify Your Report, with the number already filled in. HRD Antwerp and GCAL reports work the same way, and the check is free.

How to do a GIA report check
Find the report number. It is printed at the top of the GIA report, and many GIA-graded diamonds also carry it laser-inscribed on the girdle (the thin outer edge of the stone), visible under a 10x loupe.
Enter it in the box above, or scan the code printed on the report. We open GIA Report Check with the number filled in.
Compare the online record with the paper report and with the stone: carat weight, measurements, colour, clarity and, where present, the inscription.
How to do an IGI report check
Find the report number printed on the IGI report. Most lab-grown diamonds graded by IGI also carry it laser-inscribed on the girdle.
Enter it above or scan the code. We open IGI's Verify Your Report page with the number filled in.
Check that the report on IGI's site matches the paper copy and the diamond in front of you.
What a report check proves, and what it does not
A report check proves that the report exists in the laboratory's records and shows what the laboratory actually graded. It does not prove that the diamond in front of you is the one described. That link comes from matching the laser inscription and the measurements, so ask the seller to show you the inscription under a loupe before you pay.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I verify a diamond certificate?
Enter your certificate number from GIA, IGI, HRD Antwerp, or GCAL into the form above and click "Verify Certificate." You can also use your phone camera to scan the barcode on your physical certificate for automatic lookup.
What is a diamond certificate?
A diamond certificate (also called a grading report) is an independent assessment of a diamond's quality issued by a gemological laboratory. It documents the 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat weight), along with measurements, fluorescence, and other characteristics. Reputable labs include GIA, IGI, HRD Antwerp, and GCAL.
Which grading laboratories are supported?
We support certificates from GIA (Gemological Institute of America), IGI (International Gemological Institute), HRD Antwerp, and GCAL (Gem Certification and Assurance Lab). The tool opens each laboratory's official verification page with your certificate number already filled in.
Can I verify a certificate for a diamond not sold by VYKA?
Yes. Enter any certificate number, whoever sold the diamond, and we open the issuing lab's official verification page with your certificate number pre-filled.
What do the 4Cs mean?
The 4Cs are the universal standard for assessing diamond quality. Carat measures weight (1 carat = 0.2 grams). Cut evaluates how well the diamond reflects light. Colour grades the absence of colour (D is the highest, Z the lowest). Clarity measures the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes (FL is flawless, I3 has visible inclusions).
Is this tool free to use?
Absolutely. VYKA Diamonds provides this certificate verification tool as a free service. We believe in transparency and want every diamond buyer to have easy access to certificate verification, whether or not the diamond is purchased from us.
Is the GIA report check free?
Yes. GIA Report Check is free on GIA's own website, IGI's online report verification is free too, and so is this tool.
What if the report number is not found?
Check the number for a typing error, then choose the laboratory by hand instead of auto-detect. If the laboratory still has no record of it, treat the report as unverified and ask the seller for the original.
