What moves the price
Why two 1 carat rings can cost very different amounts
- Lab-grown or natural. A natural 1 carat round starts at about AUD 4,720 with us; a lab-grown one at about AUD 1,670.
- Carat. Natural prices climb steeply with size: from about AUD 4,720 at 1 carat to about AUD 23,150 at 2 carats.
- Shape. Shapes other than round can cost less at the same weight: a natural 1 carat cushion starts at AED 9,490 (about AUD 3,710).
- Colour and clarity. Two stones of the same weight can differ widely in price; the grading report shows exactly what you are paying for.
- Gold. We only use 18ct. Many Australian prices are for 9ct or 14ct, so compare like with like.
What the price includes
Duty, GST and delivery
Rings above AUD 1,000 attract 10% GST, import duty where it applies and clearance charges before Australia releases them (Australian Border Force). We pay all of it before the parcel leaves Dubai, so the price you pay is the whole price and nothing is collected at your door.
Every ring is made or prepared for you, then sent from Dubai by FedEx, insured and tracked, with a signature required on delivery. Allow 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation for a catalogue ring and 3 to 4 weeks for a custom design. These are estimates, not fixed dates; we confirm yours when you order.
Every diamond comes with its grading report, GIA for natural and IGI for lab-grown. Ask us for the report number and check it on GIA Report Check or IGI's website.
