Diamond rings from VYKA start at AED 2,800 as a complete piece: an 18K gold ring set with small diamonds, 5% VAT included. A ring with a one-carat centre stone starts at AED 4,000 lab-grown or AED 9,490 natural. This page gives the usual range at every carat weight in dirhams, shows what each budget buys from our live catalogue today, and itemises the price into its parts.

One thing worth saying plainly about every price on this page: it is the delivered figure. 5% VAT and insured delivery are already inside it, not added later. The shipping and delivery page explains how delivery works.

How much does a diamond ring cost in the UAE?

The honest answer has two halves, and most pages only give you the first. The stone sets the floor, and the setting sets the rest. Below is our published dirham reference table. The lower figure in each cell is the cheapest complete ring at that carat weight in our live catalogue; the upper figure is the upper end of the usual range, not a ceiling. The spread between them comes mainly from the setting — its design, metal weight and accent stones — so ask for the certificate grades of the specific stone in any quote.

Centre stone Lab-grown, independently certified (AED) Natural, independently certified (AED)
1.00 ct 4,000 – 5,000 9,490 – 16,000
1.50 ct 4,300 – 6,170 17,470 – 33,960
2.00 ct 5,930 – 7,420 35,120 – 65,370
2.50 ct 7,040 – 10,470 44,880 – 75,890
3.00 ct 8,680 – 12,520 58,640 – 87,250

Complete rings, delivered free. Every figure includes 5% UAE VAT — there is nothing further to pay when the courier arrives. Certificates are issued by GIA, IGI or HRD depending on the stone; ask which laboratory before you order.

What AED 2,000, AED 3,500 and AED 5,000 actually buy

These are three budgets UAE buyers commonly start from, so here is what each one buys from our live catalogue today rather than from a brochure.

Under AED 2,000 — nothing from us, and it is worth checking exactly what any ring at that price contains. Across our live ring catalogue, no complete diamond ring sits below AED 2,000: our floor is AED 2,800, and it is not a solitaire but a band set with small lab-grown diamonds. You will find rings advertised in the Emirates well under two thousand dirhams, and they are usually one of three things: a bare setting with no centre stone, a cluster of very small stones adding up to a fraction of a carat, or a stone with no independent certificate. All three are legitimate products, and our own floor is the second kind. None of them is what a buyer picturing a one-carat solitaire has in mind, and the gap between the two is where most disappointment in this market lives.

Under AED 3,500 — 84 ring designs. This is where our catalogue opens, and all of it is diamond bands and small-stone designs: no ring with a centre stone of a carat or more fits under this figure, lab-grown or natural. A one-carat lab-grown centre stone starts at about AED 4,000, which puts it in the next budget.

Under AED 5,000 — 478 ring designs. Here the setting stops being a compromise: solitaire, halo, hidden-halo and three-stone designs with a lab-grown centre stone of one to one and a half carats come in under this figure — 346 designs at one carat and 128 at a carat and a half. A two-carat lab-grown stone starts just above it, at about AED 5,930. For natural stones this budget buys natural-diamond bands and small-stone designs, but not yet a natural centre stone: a one-carat natural ring starts at about AED 9,490.

If your budget is fixed, the most useful thing you can do is tell us the number rather than the carat weight. We will show you the largest stone that fits it, in both lab-grown and natural, and you can decide which trade-off you prefer. If an identical certified stone — same laboratory, same certificate number — is advertised for less, we may match it before you buy, under our price match policy.

Diamond price per gram and per carat in the UAE

Many searches in the Emirates ask for a diamond price per gram, which is how gold is sold here and therefore how people are used to thinking. Diamonds are not sold that way anywhere in the world, and the conversion is not a detail — it changes the number enormously.

A carat is a fixed weight: 0.2 grams. So one gram is five carats. That means a "one gram diamond" is a five-carat stone, which in a certified natural grade typically costs six figures in dirhams, not the modest ring most people asking the question have in mind. When a shop quotes a per-gram figure for a diamond piece, it is almost always quoting the gold per gram and adding the stones separately, or quoting a total weight that mixes metal and stone together. Ask which, before you compare it against anything.

Per carat is the honest unit. In our live catalogue a one-carat lab-grown centre stone set into a complete ring starts at AED 4,000; the natural equivalent starts at AED 9,490. At one carat, then, the cheapest natural ring is about 2.4 times the cheapest lab-grown one, and the gap widens with size: at two carats it is nearly six times (AED 35,120 against AED 5,930). We publish a fuller per-gram and per-carat explainer (priced in Saudi riyals, with dirham equivalents) with the conversion worked through.

The price, itemised the way a gold shop should do it

The single most useful habit you can take into any jewellery purchase in the Emirates is to ask for the price broken into parts. A fair seller will do it without hesitation. Ours splits four ways:

  • The centre stone — priced on carat, colour, clarity and cut, against its laboratory certificate. On a solitaire, this is usually the largest line.
  • The metal — 18K gold, priced on the weight of the actual setting.
  • The making charge — the labour of building the piece, stated as its own number rather than folded into the metal. Some sellers quote a single total; it is worth asking for this line separately.
  • VAT — 5% UAE VAT, already inside the price you see. Nothing further is collected at the door.

The purity of the gold is stamped into the metal itself — 750 for the 18K gold we use — so you can check it on the piece rather than take our word for it. The stone comes with its own laboratory certificate, and on most certified stones the report number is also laser-inscribed on the girdle, visible under 10x magnification; ask us to confirm the inscription on your specific stone before it is set. Those are two independent checks, on two different parts of the ring, that do not depend on trusting the seller.

Are diamonds cheaper in Dubai?

Gold genuinely is, and that reputation has spread to diamonds by association. It is worth separating the two.

Gold in the Emirates is cheap for structural reasons: the rate is published daily and openly, VAT is 5% rather than the double-digit rates common in Europe, and the market is dense enough that no shop can drift far from the published rate without being noticed. Those conditions are real, and they are why the gold souq deserves its reputation.

Diamonds do not inherit any of that. There is no published daily diamond rate to check a quote against. Two stones of the same carat weight can differ in price by a factor of three on colour, clarity and cut alone, and the difference is invisible across a counter without magnification. So the price you are quoted in a shop in Dubai, Sharjah or anywhere else in the Emirates is not disciplined by a public reference the way a gold price is — it is disciplined only by how well you can grade the stone yourself.

That is the whole of our argument, and it is a narrow one. We do not carry the cost of a showroom on a mall lease, we source the stone against its certificate after you have chosen it rather than holding inventory that has to be financed, and we publish the price rather than negotiating it. A stone with the same certificate, the same four grades and the same weight should cost the same wherever you buy it, and where it does not, the difference is the shop, not the diamond.

Lab-grown versus natural, in dirhams

A lab-grown diamond is chemically, optically and physically a diamond. It is not a simulant, it is not cubic zirconia, and a jeweller cannot tell it from a mined stone by eye — the distinction requires specialist equipment, which is precisely why both types are certified by the same laboratories.

The difference on our own price table is stark, and it is the honest reason most people choose one over the other. At one carat, lab-grown starts at AED 4,000 against AED 9,490 natural. At two carats the gap widens: AED 5,930 against AED 35,120. Put another way, the budget that buys a one-carat natural ring will buy a two-and-a-half-carat lab-grown one from the same table.

What the difference pays for, with a natural stone, is rarity and the resale market that rarity supports. A natural diamond has a secondhand value that a lab-grown one currently largely does not, and for some families that matters a great deal. Neither answer is wrong. We sell both, both come with an independent laboratory certificate, and we will not push you toward the more expensive one. Lab-grown rings for the UAE and GIA-certified natural diamonds are set out separately if you want to compare like for like.

What is included in the price, and what is not

Included: the diamonds, the 18K gold setting, the laboratory certificate for the centre stone, 5% UAE VAT, insured delivery to any address in the Emirates, and the packaging. Also included: one resize within 30 days of delivery on ring styles that can be resized: free in Dubai (you pay the shipping to send the ring to us), and elsewhere in the Emirates we cover the standard local market rate at a jeweller near you. Pavé, eternity and other bands set with diamonds along the band cannot be resized, and a resized ring can no longer be returned under our 21-day guarantee.

Engraving of up to 30 characters inside the band can be added on eligible ring styles from the product page; an engraved ring becomes a custom order that cannot be returned under our 21-day guarantee. We do not offer a lifetime warranty. If a ring needs attention later, message us about any manufacturing defect; resizing beyond that first resize may be available at an additional cost.

What to ask before you pay anyone

These five questions work in any shop in the Emirates, not only ours, and the answers tell you more than any amount of browsing.

  1. Which laboratory certified this stone, and can I see the certificate before I pay? GIA, IGI and HRD are independent laboratories whose reports can be checked online. A certificate from an unnamed or in-house laboratory is a marketing document, not an independent grade.
  2. Is the certificate number inscribed on the stone? If it is, you can verify that the stone in the ring is the stone on the paper. If it is not, you are trusting an association between two objects.
  3. What is the making charge, as its own number? Not as a percentage folded into the gold. A seller who will not separate it is telling you something.
  4. Is VAT inside this price? In the Emirates the answer should be yes for a domestic purchase. For anything shipped in from abroad, ask who pays the customs bill and when.
  5. What are the exact carat, colour and clarity of this specific stone — and, for a round brilliant, its cut grade? Single values, as printed on its certificate. A listing that shows a range, such as VS1–SI1, is describing a design rather than a stone, so ask for the certificate of the stone that will actually go into your ring. A GIA report on a lab-grown stone issued since 1 October 2025 gives a Premium or Standard rating instead of separate colour and clarity grades.

How long it takes

Our rings are made to order and arrive within 1 to 2 weeks of order confirmation, anywhere in the UAE; the insured parcel needs a signature on delivery. A ring designed for you from scratch takes 3 to 4 weeks. If you are working toward a date, tell us the date rather than the timeline; we will say plainly whether it is possible rather than take the order and hope.

Ring size is worth settling before ordering, and for a surprise proposal it is the hardest part to get right. Our size guide covers the ways to measure a ring she already owns without asking, and one resize within 30 days of delivery is covered on eligible styles (free in Dubai, the standard local market rate elsewhere in the Emirates), because this is where people get caught.

Buying from a particular emirate

The prices above are national — the same ring costs the same wherever in the country it is delivered. What differs is what exists locally, what a nearby shop is likely to quote, and how far the nearest real market is. These cover Sharjah, the northern emirates and Al Ain; Abu Dhabi and Dubai have their own guides below.

  • Sharjah — the Blue Souk, the Sharjah Gold Centre, and the emirate's own consumer-protection regulator.
  • Ras Al Khaimah — two souk districts, and what "zero making charge" really means.
  • Al Ain (Abu Dhabi emirate) — no officially listed gold souq; the jewellers cluster in the Central District.
  • Ajman — an officially listed Gold Souq, and why recourse follows the seller's trade licence rather than your address.
  • Fujairah — the east coast, where the jewellers are on one road and Dubai is about ninety minutes away.
  • Umm Al Quwain — one jewellery brand in the emirate's main mall, and what each alternative costs to reach.

What 3, 4 and 5 carat diamond rings cost in the UAE

Above two carats the price is set stone by stone, so the table below comes from our live listings on 22 September 2026: GIA-graded natural diamonds only, D–H colour and VS2 clarity or better, in dirhams with 5% VAT and customs included. The first figure is the lowest listing in each band; the second is the median, a better guide to what most buyers actually choose. Add the setting: a plain 18K solitaire setting starts at about AED 1,260; pavé and halo settings cost more.

Carat weight From (AED) Typical (AED) GIA listings
2.00–2.49 ct 32,580 37,590 9
2.50–2.99 ct 57,970 74,850 15
3.00–3.99 ct 76,860 107,760 13
4.00–4.99 ct 193,520 229,860 17
5.00–5.99 ct 274,940 346,560 16

Why the step between three and four carats is so steep: rarity compounds with weight. A four-carat stone is far rarer than two stones of two carats, and it is priced at a multiple of them, not the sum. Round brilliants sit at the top of every band; emerald and oval cuts of the same weight usually list lower.

What to insist on above two carats: a GIA report with the number inscribed on the girdle, checked on GIA Report Check before you pay; Excellent cut for a round; no strong fluorescence; and a look at the stone on video or in person. We source to your brief (shape, weight, colour, clarity, budget) and send a shortlist with the reports within 48 hours. Large stones can be viewed by video or, in the UAE, by appointment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a diamond ring cost in the UAE?
Diamond rings from VYKA start at AED 2,800 for an 18K gold ring set with small diamonds. A ring with a one-carat centre stone starts at AED 4,000 lab-grown and AED 9,490 natural, both as finished rings with 5% VAT included.

Can I buy a diamond ring in the UAE under AED 2,000?
Not from us. Our floor is AED 2,800, for a band set with small lab-grown diamonds, and a ring with a one-carat lab-grown centre stone starts at AED 4,000. Rings advertised below AED 2,800 are typically bare settings with no centre stone, clusters of very small stones, or stones without an independent certificate.

What is the diamond price per gram in the UAE?
Diamonds are not priced per gram anywhere. One gram is five carats, so a "one gram diamond" is a five-carat stone. Per-gram figures quoted in shops almost always refer to the gold, with stones priced separately.

Are diamonds cheaper in Dubai?
Gold is genuinely cheaper in the Emirates because the rate is published daily and VAT is 5%. Diamonds have no published rate, so a diamond price here is only as good as your ability to grade the stone. The certificate, not the city, decides whether a price is fair.

Is VAT included in your prices?
Yes. Every dirham figure on this page includes 5% UAE VAT, and delivery within the UAE is free. There is nothing to pay when the courier arrives.

What is the difference in price between lab-grown and natural?
It depends on size. At one carat the cheapest natural ring is about 2.4 times the cheapest lab-grown one (AED 9,490 against AED 4,000); at two carats it is nearly six times (AED 35,120 against AED 5,930).

Do you deliver across all seven emirates?
Yes. Delivery is free and insured to all seven emirates: Abu Dhabi (including Al Ain), Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Rings are made to order and arrive within 1 to 2 weeks of order confirmation, and a signature is required on delivery.

Can I check the diamond before ordering?
Loose diamonds on our site are listed with their grading report details, and the laboratory certificate for a ring's centre stone comes with the ring. To confirm a specific stone before ordering, ask a jeweller on WhatsApp.

How much is a 3 carat diamond ring in the UAE?

On 22 September 2026, GIA-graded natural stones of 3.00 to 3.99 carats in D–H colour and VS2 clarity or better listed from about AED 76,860, with a median near AED 107,760, with 5% VAT and customs included. Add a setting from about AED 1,260. Round brilliants sit at the top of the range; emerald and oval cuts usually list lower.

How much is a 5 carat diamond ring in the UAE?

On 22 September 2026, GIA-graded natural stones of 5.00 to 5.99 carats in D–H colour and VS2 or better listed from about AED 274,940, with a median near AED 346,560, with 5% VAT and customs included. At this weight every stone is priced individually; we source to a brief and send GIA reports before you commit.
