An emerald cut is a rectangular step cut with cut corners and long, parallel facets that give broad, clear flashes of light. Here it is always a white diamond, never the green gemstone. The collection includes emerald-cut solitaires, among them east-west, cathedral, split-shank and hidden-halo settings; halo designs, including octagonal, double and vintage halos; three-stone rings with baguette, tapered baguette, trilliant, pear, oval or round side stones; pavé bands; and an emerald and pear toi et moi.
Because a step cut shows the inside of the stone clearly, clarity matters more here than in a brilliant cut. Every centre stone is graded colourless to near-colourless with VS1 to SI1 clarity and is independently certified, typically by GIA or IGI. You can check the report number on the laboratory's own website before you pay.
